By better managing waste through sustainable practises such as upcycling, recycling, and biodegradable consumables, and through co-operation with various AMPD Departments, we intend to develop a sustaniable space for creative research and resilient use of digital tools.
Filament Recycling
Instead of simply discarding and wasting the material used in scaffolding, failed 3D prints, older prototypes, or other 3D printed objects that have outlived their usefulness, consider donating your PLA plastic objects to the Makerspace. These objects will be repuprsed into ussable 3D printed filament and used to better serve the AMPD maker ecosystem. Due to the nature of certain materials, only PLA objects well be accepted for recycling.
